APTET Result 2011 on 4th September - APTET certificate valid for seven years from the date of issue

Implementation of the RTE Act requires the recruitment of teachers, to ensure quality requirement for recruitment of teachers and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at the elementary level Classes I to VIII.

In accordance with the provisions of the RTE Act, NCTE issued notification dated 23rd August, 2010 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to able for appointment as a teacher in classes I to VIII.

One of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools he should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test -TET which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE. Government of A.P conducted Teacher Eligibility Test in A.P. on 31-07-2011. Teachers who were appointed before NCTE notification, dated 23-8-2010 by DSC or by any competent authority in Government as per Recruitment Rules prevalent at that time are exempted from appearing for APTET Exam.

Qualifying Marks and Award of APTET Certificate
Candidates who score 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass in general. If candidate belonging to SC/ST and PH, 40% score shall be the minimum pass mark and in respect of candidate belonging to BC, 50% score shall be the minimum pass mark. The candidates appearing in TET-July 2011 will be issued Marks statement by the Director, TET-July 2011. The candidates passing TET-July 2011 will be issued certificate.

Weightage to tet scores in the teacher recruitment process of A.P
It is proposed to provide 20% weightage to TET score in the Teacher Recruitment of the State Government i.e., 20% weightage is for TET and 80% weightage for written test in Teachers Recruitment Test (DSC) based on which selection list can be prepared.

Validity period of APTET certificate:
No restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a APTET Certificate. A person who has qualified APTET may also appear again for improving his score. In accordance with the NCTE guidelines the APTET certificate shall be valid for a period of seven years from the date of issue.
