Download Wallpaper The ApunKaChoice movie review of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 As an addict of the Harry Potter series from the past ten years, I can easily vouch that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is perhaps the most appropriate ending one could have imagined. It’s a perfect farewell to the wizard boy, a film that leaves you thoroughly entertained but with a niggle of wistful sadness that you just witnessed the swansong of the character that sprinkled a bit of magic in your bitingly real world.

Yes, for some (like me), it was a story they lived for 10 years; for them, it is the end of an era. For others this one’s just another sword and sorcery caper with a visual extravaganza only a topnotch Hollywood production house could pull out of its metaphorical magic hat. For either, the movie is worth every dime and time spent.

The best part about the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows series is that it has been divided into two parts; the latest one being the one which has released! Had the producers tried to cover all the aspects in a single part, it would have been a tedious, crammed, and complicating hodgepodge for the viewers!

Nevertheless, the ones who have watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I will easily cotton on to the fact that in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the famous wizard trio -- Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) -- are still searching for the last of the seven Horcruxes that have parts of the soul of “the one whose name should not be spoken!”

On the other hand, Voldermort (yes, we are saying your name, do whatever you can!) possesses the most powerful wand ever, which he occupied from the tomb of the Hogwarts’ ex-headmaster, the late Dumbledore (I still get emotional writing the title ‘late’ ahead of his name.)

The movie elementarily concludes the decade old war between Harry Potter and Voldermort (Ralph Fiennes)! And those who have read the book already know who will prevail, and for those who haven’t, we are sure you have a pretty good idea as to who would emerge victorious!

The performances by all the actors are, as always, worth acknowledging. There is a visible maturity in the acts of the leading trio, Radcliffe in particular, as you notice a Harry Potter shorn of the histrionics of previous installments. Alan Rickman has given us yet another unforgettable performance as Professor Severus Snape. He still remains one of my favourite characters in the movie!

Speaking about the visuals, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 has perhaps outclassed all its former installments! From the giant spiders to the fire-breathing dragon, from the armies in battle to the shape transposing entities, all the visuals and the special effects are bewildering! Several magical spells which featured in the movie were simply breath-taking! One such spell that needs a special mention is the one in which whatever you touch continues to replicate!

A point worth mentioning is that the movie’s brilliance is all because of the skilled direction and production! It is simply astonishing to see how the crew has brought alive the classic pages from the J.K. Rowling book in an even better form through well-handled craftsmanship! Perhaps an unforgettable scene is the one where Harry Potter and his friends perforate deep below the earth to find out what exactly does Gringotts’ vault enclose!

Anyhow, the movie has been rated as PG - 13 since it contains some extreme violence, some cold-blooded slaughter and macabre scenes! Nevertheless, you will come out with a sense of satisfaction after the movie ends. Love and peace win over brutality! Not to forget, try and catch this movie in 3D!

Director David Yates and screenplay writer Steve Kloves have done total justice to the last part of the Harry Potter series. We give it 4 out of 5 stars and would conclude by saying: “Harry Potter, we will surely miss you!”

Rating: 4 stars out of 5
